Northorpe Parish Council is made up of seven elected councillors - comprising the Chair, Vice-Chair and five members - all unpaid volunteers who work for the benefit of the community and all local residents.

The Parish Council is fully accountable and subject to detailed audit.

The Clerk to the Parish Council is employed on a paid, part-time basis.

Northorpe Parish Council was reformed on 18 January 2020 and is extremely passionate about engaging with the village and the people who live in it.

Meeting are held on the last Thursday of each month at the Church of St John the Baptist at 6.30pm.

Residents may attend full council meetings and are invited to speak on village matters prior to the commencement of business at each meeting.

Each year the Council decides on its spending plans (precept) for the next financial year. This is notified to West Lindsey District Council and they include it in their Council Tax calculation.
